I had the privilege of conducting a photoshoot for the Grand Hotel San Pietro in Taormina, one of the most iconic and captivating properties in Sicily, part of the Lindbergh Hotels group. This assignment gave me the opportunity to tell the timeless beauty of a place that combines luxury, tradition, and a deep connection with the local territory through images.
A Tale of Luxury and Authenticity
The Grand Hotel San Pietro is uniquely positioned, offering views of Isola Bella and Mount Etna, and has recently undergone a major renovation. My goal was to capture the renewed spaces, designed by architect Roberto Antobenedetto, who expertly blended modernity and tradition. The warm tones of red, yellow, and blue that characterize the interiors were a key element of the photoshoot.
Rooms with Sicilian Charm
While photographing the rooms, I aimed to highlight the unique details that set this hotel apart: from the ceramics of Santo Stefano di Camastra, crafted by local artisans, to the white and blue majolica adorning the balconies. Each shot sought to capture the intimate and warm atmosphere, combining the comfort of luxury with Sicilian tradition.
Common Areas: Relaxation and Conviviality
Durante il servizio, ho avuto modo di esplorare anche gli spazi comuni del Grand Hotel San Pietro, come la Ulivo Terrace e il Belvedere bar, luoghi pensati per il relax e la convivialità. Qui, i materiali naturali e la splendida vista sul mare contribuiscono a creare un ambiente di totale serenità, che ho cercato di trasmettere attraverso immagini che esaltano la luce naturale e la bellezza del paesaggio.
A Culinary Journey: The Bàtu Restaurant
Another essential moment was capturing the culinary experience at the Bàtu restaurant, led by Chef Luca Miuccio. The images reflect the elegance and creativity of the cuisine, showcasing the attention to detail and the refined harmony of the spaces, inviting guests to enjoy a unique gastronomic experience.
The Rotonda sul Mare: A Touch of Magic
One of the most special moments of the photoshoot was capturing the “Rotonda sul mare,” an exclusive table situated on a panoramic terrace over the water. The breathtaking view of Isola Bella and the intimacy of this space make it perfect for private dinners and unforgettable moments.
Completing this photoshoot was an extraordinary experience. I aimed to tell the story not only of the beauty of the Grand Hotel San Pietro but also of the soul of the place, where every detail is designed to offer guests an authentic and relaxing stay.
